Your UI is a logo and a URL submission box.

PDFMYURL's UI is a logo, a submission box, a 'bookmarklet', and (optionally) a description of their API.

How is yours better?

Absolutely. I drool a bit every time I hear Darryl Morey talk about the MIT/Sloan Sports Conference.

One of the poster's "cons" was lack of support for multiple databases.

Django 1.2 will have support for multiple databases: http://djangoadvent.com/1.2/multiple-database-support/

This is a complete guess and have no evidence to support it:

I don't believe the buttons offer ANY advantage because the people most likely to use them are the same crowd of enthusiasts that already have the bookmarklets in their "bookmark toolbar" that offer the exact same functionality.

"Content management" is too broad to be "solved". For certain types of content it might be, but the types of content you can have is endless, even for the web.

And one more thing.... You're free to create a fork of Firefox that uses Yahoo by default or whatever your heart desires.

Just don't call it Firefox. Haha

Am I the only person who finds CSS easier to write and easier to wrap your head around? I don't think I could go back to tables without a significant effort in changing the way I do things. CSS has just become natural. Maybe the author just needs more experience or practice.

Thing is though, you aren't viewing 140 characters at a time. You're viewing a page of 20 of the most recent 140-character posts from a variety of people (all with differing perspectives) at the same time. It's not better or worse than a news outlet, it's just different.

For my recent experience (a comment on this page): http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=504849
