Clearly 37signals provide no content for our community. I am calling a vote on banning their articles from Hacker News.

How about an unofficial poll of who submitted and who got the OK.
Would be interesting to see how many people submitted and how many was invited? Submitters, please post your results here in this thread. |

I'm thinking of going to South By Southwest (http://sxsw.com/) this year. Have any of you had experience with any of its festivals? Anyone attending (or presenting there) this year?

I'm starting a new stealth project and this project will have social-sharing features where users can bookmark a site/page and indicate they like a site, much like stumbleupon/delicious. But I'm not sure if a bookmarklet script is good enough or a FF extensions would work out better. Any advice?

Working on building out a user support and help section and am curious if there are any shining examples of how to do it correctly out there? What things does a good user support section need to include?
Integrating things like screencasts, faqs, tips, and documentation all into one central place etc... |

Is there a way to save a certain post? Do I not have enough karma to save something?
If I want to track something, I have been leaving a comment, so that way it shows up in my threads. Sometimes my comments have not really added to the conversation, but I know I'll be able to quickly access it when I come back to the site. Where am i going wrong? |

I have been using Llama Graphics' Life Balance (http://www.llamagraphics.com/LB/index.php) for a couple of years now, but in that time they have made one minor update and asked me for $50 on top of the $70 I already paid. With a buggy, unintuitive interface and glacial development times, I think it's time to retire Life Balance.
What solutions do you use for keeping track of tasks across different parts of your life? My favorite feature of LB is the ability to subdivide every task into smaller ones, creating a task tree with priorities assigned to every node. The software then does some simple multiplication and traversal to give me a prioritized task list based on what I've put in. Is there something out there that would allow me to do this and access the information from both my Mac and Treo? |

River of news style interface to YC News, combining stories and comments. Context for any comment is just a click away.
http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/ The page will remember what you've seen before, so if you hit reload you'll see an orange line separating new stuff from what's already been displayed. I've been using it to read news.yc for a few days, and just added filtering. To maintain whitelists and blacklists of usernames, add parameters to the url. Conversations where pg is involved: http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?pg Blacklists after '-'. Conversations without me: http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?-akkartik You can combine the two: http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?nostrademons-akkartik Want only the chatter around Ask-YC style stories where no URL was submitted? http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?ask Or you think they are teh suck? http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?-ask You get the idea. You can also put URLs in the blacklist to filter out boring conversations. To prune out yday's flamewar on drugs: http://hystry.com/newsyc/follow/?-http://news.ycombinator.co...
